For Just One Week

Woo Hoo! I did it. I stuck to a menu! That is a major first for me. The best part was the lunches. Having lunch planned for everyday made for less stress each morning and having lunches packed and ready to go for the younger two who are still home during the day kept my kitchen clean, and allowed me to get more things done during the day. The best was when Mr. Hotness took me out to lunch at an Indian place. I had lunches prepacked for the kids so they were happy and we didn't waste any money buying food they wouldn't eat.
.
Training Cheeks to sleep in a crib did not happen. I tried my best, really I did, but he just wasn't having it. I've never had a child take more than 2 days to crib train but we started on Saturday and went till 1:28pm on Tuesday before I had to give up. He was hoarse and angry and wanted nothing to do with his crib or sleep. I'm going to have to rethink this. Seriously, folks, I've done this with the last 4 kids and they did great, so I know what I'm doing. I think Cheeks is just one of those kids who is going to do it his way. So we will wait and try again later.
.
For this next week I'm tackling this:

See all those games? There are even more on the bottom shelves that you can't see. We have a lot of games. A lot. But we never play them. But they are really great games. But I don't need things we don't use. So, this week we are going to play games. Every game we play we get to keep and by the end of this week which ever games we don't play I will get rid of on next Saturday. This should help me decide which games are worth keeping and which ones are just nice ideas that I don't need.
.
Want to play along? Tell us what you are working on this week.

What is with our littlest kids right now not wanting to sleep when and where they are supposed to!? We obviously need to get together and have some non-sleeping-infant commiseration time :) !!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Good for you with the meal plan. I did a meal plan for three days last week and was feeling pretty good about myself.

Here is what I have found with games around here. We like to play the same game over and over again till we get sick of it and then we never want to play it again and are on to the next game.

It's too bad you can't check out games at the library. That would be so excellent because then you wouldn't be wasting your money and space on them and you could try a new one any time.

This is inspiring with the menu- I often say I am going to start cooking and then life happens. I am going to try and write it all out when I return, and do a better job this summer with the lunches. Keep reporting the success.
