Now he's 7 and I bought him zip up shoes because it's so hard already getting my FOUR kids out the door. Now I think he forgot how to tie shoes, too.

BTW, I just had to read your blog when I saw your title. Ice cream is my favorite food, too. I had to cut down, though. It was an addiction! If we ran out, my husband had to run to the DQ for me! Would you believe that for about the past 15 years I have had recurrent dreams that I'm driving down the street and found a new ice cream shop. Pretty pathetic, huh.Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13064271466583841630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5139814941566752118.post-20727261517749374952007-11-30T07:02:00.000-08:002007-11-30T07:02:00.000-08:00My 7 yr old also doesn't know how to tie his laces...My 7 yr old also doesn't know how to tie his laces. But he has extremely weak fine motor skills, so I'm blaming it on that.

Having said that, I wouldn't worry, even if he didn't. They'll learn these things in due time.

Shoes nowadays are so often not lace-ups, and I'm not going out of my way, "just" to add 10 minutes to the 'getting out the door' procedure in the morning as he's struggles to tie his laces.

Heidi :)Family Adventurehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00093360285075029799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5139814941566752118.post-46569166487676024402007-11-29T21:37:00.000-08:002007-11-29T21:37:00.000-08:00My 6 year old doesn't know how to tie shoes either...My 6 year old doesn't know how to tie shoes either :) !!An Ordinary Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497066145696617241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5139814941566752118.post-83212961642918195442007-11-29T15:53:00.000-08:002007-11-29T15:53:00.000-08:00I am so with you on this one.
