Halloween Toys

Evil Halloween Fun

I have to admit that I LOVE scary! I love scary movies (the good ones, not the bloody sex kind), I love scary music, I love scary books (not Steve King), I love scaring others, and I love being scared myself. So, would it surprise anyone that I love Halloween? It is probably my dad's fault because he was a Halloween enthusiast. I was never allowed to go out as a princess, I had to be a dead princess with a green face, bleeding throat, and black finger nails. One of my favorite ways to have fun on Halloween is to cram my house full of creepy plastic creatures. Don't get mad if you get an ice cube with a spider in it, find a rubber rat in your shoe, or see a snake in the shower, because I just can't help myself. So, next time you see a package of fake fingers buy them, then serve them in hotdog buns for dinner.

The older I get, the less I enjoy the scary things. Just today I saw a hand sticking out of a car's passenger door and it accelerated my heart until I realized it was a joke. It should be a crime to give someone else a panic attack like this :) !!

Oh I am trying that! I found a stash of plastic spiders in my closet today and now I know what to do with them.

ANd btw, peach cobbler??? Yum! When we lived in Provo,Utah there was a place that made THE BEST peach cobbler shakes. Andrew brought me one after I gave birth to Grace . . . best baby present I've ever got.

Fun, spine tingling fun! Do your kids ever try to get you back?

Of course they do! Their favortie way is to wait untill I'm really involved in a book and then throw a big spider at me.

I'm going to have to try the spider in the ice cube trick. We had a fake hand around last year. It was fun for a day. Our then two year old would not sleep for a whole week because she was having nightmares about the hand. My husband would stay up with her on the couch, she'd fall asleep, only to wake up screaming because she could see his hand wrapped around her. It was terrible!

Hmmmm...I don't think I'll be stopping by your house around Halloween, then. I'm a real scaredy cat, I'm ashamed to say.

On the other hand, I am an avid ice cream fan, so maybe we can find some common ground there ?

Oh yeah... love the scary stuff! I am thinking of bringing a rubber snake to work, which will be great because we actually found a real snake in here a couple weeks ago. Should get some good shrieks from a few people around here!

I loved the idea of fake fingers in hotdog buns! Unfortunately the French aren't really into Halloween and it's difficult to find scary stuff!

Hey thanks for stopping by my blog.

I am a huge chicken so I am a great target for people that like to scare. My daughter for instance.
