Look What I Did

See those colorful pictures on the wall? That used to be empty space. About, oh... 3 years ago I bought the frames at a dollar store. They were an ugly burnt orange color but I knew I could paint them. It took me 2 1/2 years to finally paint them. Then it took me another 6 months to finally get them put on the wall. Last Saturday I finally just found what ever pics I could of the kids and printed them out. Luckily I only had to redo 2 of the pictures twice before they were all hanging nice and even (didn't even use a level, thank you very much). I love the way they make the bathroom look now. It went from looking shabby to oh-so-cute in just a matter of minutes, or should I say years? Here is a close up of the frames but I have to warn you that the lighting is bad and makes Cookie's picture look very orangish. Really her frame is sunny and light yellow and her picture is in red and pink tones.

That is so Andy Warhol. Nice work! Even if it took two years, it's still great now.

The prints turned out so cool! I've been wanting to try something like this with some photos of my kids but Andy Warhol doesn't to my husband's taste.

Very cute!!
I have a few things to frame (for dh), so I'm making it a goal for Christmas, or it will never get done.

That is so cute! I am just itching to do some decorating at home (almost all the walls are bare) but haven't because of budget. What a great and affordable idea. You have inspired me yet again.

Great pictures! I am new to your blog, I saw ice cream and had to check it out! I too am addicted and craving more- the last was eaten over the weekend and I haven't made it to the store for more.
p.s. I have three frames I am painting sitting by my back door- it's been too windy to spray them- at least that is my excuse! :)

That is so cute! I love the idea! I am a bright colors person! So many people love brown and muted colors, not me! Way to go!
