SO TRUE! I lived in Puyallup (right by Seattle) for several years. I think I saw the sun a total of 10 days the first year we lived there and it wasn't 10 days in a row either. Definately no one running around with "natural" suntans there!
Pure liquid sunshine baby. Are you in Seattle? Really? DH's family is near there and we're over all the time. I'd love to raid your freezer, erm, meet your kids.
One of my favorite sayings is: "In Alaska we don't tan, we rust"
When life gets crazy I stick my head in the freezer, find myself a little frozen happiness, and then I write about it all here. So, pull up a spoon and grab a bite of my personal insanity.

A Girl of the Limberlost by Gene Stratton Porter: one of my all time favorite books. It's a simple, sweet story of a girl who fights for what she wants and by staying pure and true to herself and others she gets all she deserves by the end. It's a true happy ending. If you've ever seen the TV version it is not the same thing. I can't stand the TV version they made of this.

Seattle AND Provo, for days down...... how about we just send some sun shine cheer to each other........

Oh. So sorry. Put on some Hawaiian music, eat some pineapple, and just *think* it all sunny and warm.
(Did it work? Yeah, didn't think so. Sorry.)

I grew up in Seattle and got a great kick out of this.
