A Girl of the Limberlost by Gene Stratton Porter: one of my all time favorite books. It's a simple, sweet story of a girl who fights for what she wants and by staying pure and true to herself and others she gets all she deserves by the end. It's a true happy ending. If you've ever seen the TV version it is not the same thing. I can't stand the TV version they made of this.

they are so darling. did cheeks have a costume? did they bring back anything that was better than your recent ice cream finds?
I am so grateful for Joshua's tenacity in seeking candy for his mama. I actually heard him tell one lady "could I have the one that's chocolate, because my mom likes chocolate." Am I training him well or what?
How'd they do??? My kids got very little chocolate. Clearly they don't understand that this is the only reason I let them trick or treat!!!!
