Sometimes

Sometimes bacon smell isn't from bacon, it's from the roasting chicken breasts that you forgot to take out of the oven 2 hours ago. Chicken jerky, anyone?

Sometimes hamster cage smell isn't from a hamster, it's from a nasty old diaper that was hiding waaaaay under the back seat of your minivan.

Sometimes chocolate on your baby's finger isn't chocolate... so don't ever lick it to find out.

Sometimes a baby spider that is eating your little girl's arm isn't a spider, it's a nasty tick that will freak you and your little girl out as you try desperately to pry it out.

Sometimes a dead mouse in your washroom isn't a dead mouse, it's an apple core that is so fuzzy with mold it looks like a dead mouse. (but just see how long it takes you to calm down enough to figure it out)

Sometimes a "little thing" isn't so little and you will throw a major temper tantrum until everyone around you understands why it isn't so little.

Sometimes a smile isn't just a smile, it's a saving grace.

Sometimes the "big things" in life aren't so big after all.

Sometimes poopy diapers and a messy house aren't poopy diapers and a messy house, they are signs of your wonderful blessings.

Sometimes ice cream isn't fattening, it's life saving therapy.

i had the perfect mental image of how you freaked out during the tick removal. the mental image even included the volume of your screams. almost as loud as your screams from when i used to pinch you.

Sometimes I'm so glad I stay up till way past my bedtime reading other people's wise words.

So nice to know other people have "mice" apple cores, hidden poopies, and enough experience to know that one should not lick chocolate fingers.

*welcome back!*

Ben,
Whatever! At least when I scream like a girl it's because I AM a girl. What's your excuse?

P.S. I'm so going to pinch you next time I see you. I haven't forgotten the insta-bruise technique.
