I'm in desperate need of a blog makeover, dontcha think? I'm going to be silly and try to change the look of this here blog all by myself. Being dyslexic in HTML, I know I'll probably regret it and have to have someone fix it for me in the end. I'm ok with that.
So grab a hard hat and watch your step, there are going to be widgets, backgrounds, fonts, and buttons flying all over the place.
And if anyone wants to help me (do it all for me)... well, I'm certainly not opposed to taking blog charity. =)
Well good luck Rosie--I'm no genius with it but if you get stuck I'd be happy to lend whatever hand I can.
ReplyDeleteYou're dyslexic in HTML too? We should start a group! I'm already loving the ice cream cone background, by the way.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! It can become addicting once you start to "see the light". There are also places that offer free backgrounds, etc. The Cutest Blog on the Block has a ton to choose from and are really easy to install. They also have instructions for creating your own background. It's pretty easy to follow.
ReplyDeleteIt actually scares me to tinker too much with it - so I'm sticking with basic black. ;-) Actually - I'm looking for somebody that can help me widen the posts area. Sooooooooo.....????
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the change. I got my background at pyzam.com and they had a ton to choose from. Plus they gave step by step instructions to make it very simple. It only took me about ten tries. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
ReplyDeleteWanna do mine next?:-)
I'll join the dyslexic HTML group, too. Everyone else says it really easy, but DON'T BELIEVE THEM!! :)
ReplyDeleteI just read another blog with instructions for adding cool stuff. You can find it here: http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com/2008/09/how-to-do-fancy-things-to-your-blogger.html.
ReplyDeleteChange is good!
Keen! I love the new background.
ReplyDeleteI second chocolate's comment. That's how I redid mine. If you know how to use photoshop or something, the instructions from cutest blog on the block are pretty straight forward for making your own background. I like the ice cream cones. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't help at all, but I love the ice cream background!!
ReplyDeleteI third chocolate's comment. I used the info from cutest blogs to redo my site. And you don't need photoshop. You can use paint.net for free.
ReplyDeleteI saw your 'test' post. When I was redoing my site, I made a dummy blog and did all of my testing there. Just a thought.
I love me a makeover! Can't wait to see what wonderful things pop up.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking it!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could lend you some advice, but I know NOTHING about coding. Sorry.
Looks great! I'm way impressed.
