S.M.A.R.T. Habits Saturday

S.M.A.R.T. Habit Saturday on a Sunday. I'm just trying to prove that it is never too late to start another good habit. Actually I didn't want to post my habits until I had fulfilled my last week's habit and got all my letters in the mail. For this week's habit I want to spend at least 15 minutes of alone, awesome, quality, 'building memories' time with each of my children every week. I have the scary feeling that my children have many fond memories of times with their daddy, but nary a one with me. how sad is that when I definitely spend more time with them through the day? I am starting out only expecting 15 minutes of myself because I want this to work. Babystepping is the best way for me to do things and trust me, 15 minutes is WAY more than they are getting right now.

Jumping is a habit now and I love it! Even my hubby has noticed and appreciates going to sleep in a pre-made bed every night.

Wrote 4 letters. Easy. The hard part was getting them in the mailbox because I didn't have current addresses or 41 cent stamps. I didn't let that stop me, though, and put 3 letters in the mail yesterday.

I also answered another question this last week. Check it out.

Aww, I bet you'd be surprised at the fond memories they already have. Its a good goal though. Makes you think a little more about what you are actually doing together.

Honey, I'm all about babystepping - it's the only way to travel!

I like this new habit of yours. Babystepping is the ONLY way to go. I am excited to see how your week goes.

What a great habit. I think this will be your kids' favorite one.

Oh! and have you tried Baskin Robbins' World Class Chocolate? It's very rich so two scoops is a max for me, but yum!

I have to re-type this one. Too many typos!!!

You know..... it's funny because I was just thinking about the same thing. I'm with the babes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but it's the times I stop what I am doing, which is managing the house hold, and do some thing just for them, they love it. They tell me what they are thinking and how they are feeling, and the things they pick to do are really *just* plain fun..... Petunia loves to play games, and Bear loves to build things. Little Babe loves to be read to, and all 3 love their little backs tickled. I think, in the end, I just want to be my children's friend. I want to know who they are and how I can serve them. I come from a sorely broken home, and I just want my children to have what I always wished I had had.

I know what you mean - it is so easy to spend all day with the little ones (or one in my case) and yet not actually spend any TIME with them. GOOD LUCK! (And I am a firm believer in setting small timeframes - then if you miss one, it is easier to double up to make up for it - spend 30 minutes the next day... otherwise, if you're like me, you feel guilty about having missed one day, so you let it slide the next day too because you can't possibly catch up ;P or maybe that's just me)
