FHE

It is time once again for FHE. It is Pablo's turn tonight and this is the lesson I helped him prepare. I printed these images on card stock and cut out all the armor pieces. Pablo will read the following text and place each piece of armor on the boy as he explains it. He is excited to do a lesson that has to do with knights. =)

Ephesians 6: 13-17
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Belt = Truth = Tell the truth all the time. Listen to the Holy Ghost so you will know which things you hear are true. Always remember the truths of the Gospel even when the world wants you to believe lies.

Breastplate = Righteousness = Choose the right. Obey the commandments.

Shoes = Be ready to share the gospel = Never be embarrassed to tell people about what you believe in and about the Gospel.

Shield = Faith = If we have true faith we will be strong against temptations and sadness. Faith protects us just like a shield.

Helmet = Salvation = Because of the plan of Salvation we know that we can all be saved. Knowing that we can return to our Father in heaven helps us to fight against Satan.

Sword = Word of God which is found in the scriptures = We should always read our scriptures so that we can have a better knowledge and be better prepared to face spiritual obstacles that will get in our way.

Very cute graphics! I have over 50 colored flannel board stories that I've been meaning to start sharing on my blog but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I like how you post what lesson you'll have for FHE each Monday. Have you thought about starting a carnival so others can join in and also get ideas?

Cocoa, I like the idea of an FHE carnival, but have absolutely no idea how to do a carnival.
